TEAM Maine 12u

TEAM Maine 12u playing for the second weekend in a row kicked off tournament play at the All-American Tournament hosted in Waterville, ME.  TEAM Maine started the weekend off by receiving Sportsmanship Medals for their class and leadership from the previous weekend.  Recognized by the Tournament Host and USA Softball - Maine.  

TEAM Maine began their play on Saturday morning taking home a 9-2 victory or the Capital Maniacs.  In game number two on Saturday TEAM Maine once again flashed moments of amazing defensive play going on to defeat Maine Thunder 12u 16-0 after a big 3rd inning.  Thus setting up the 12u's for a Sunday morning match up with the Central Maine Carnage.  TEAM Maine's play in the field was once again exceptional as the bats had gone slightly calm following their previous two games.  TEAM Maine was able to advance with a 7-2 victory.  

In the Championship game TEAM Maine 12u started with clearly some nerves in play.  Settling down after a 15 minute rain delay they dropped the championship game to a rematch with the Capital Maniacs 6-8.    The group has finished their first two tournaments with a third place finish, a sportsmanship award and a second place finish respectively.  We are certain there is still more to come with this group!
